Who We Are |
Linda Pucci, PhD owns Resources with Horses, which is a division of the Inner Resource Center. Trained as a psychologist, she has worked for nearly 30 years helping people change to live more successful and satisfying lives. Her approach employs a "solution focus," and she utilizes the most cutting-edge, advanced techniques on the planet to help her clients create the changes necessary to achieve their goals. By using her knowledge of learning styles and techniques of rapid change, she is able to assist her clients in reaching their outcome quickly and efficiently.
For Dr. Pucci, equine assisted learning is a unique and fun way for clients to learn quickly and experientially. She and her partner, Pam Salem create activities for you to do with horses that bring about those "aha" moments that stay with you long after the training is over. |
 |
Dr. Pucci was trained by EAGALA as a certified equine assisted psychotherapist in 2002. She quickly also recognized the efficacy of providing training and coaching using horses to facilitate the learning process. "Whether in psychotherapy or in coaching, the learning is so much more powerful," she notes. "People tell us years after one of our workshops that they think every day of the lesson they learned from that experience with the horses. I don’t know of many traditional learning experiences that do that."
In 2007, Dr. Pucci became certified as an Equine Assisted Training Specialist through Innovative Horizons. This certification gives her the expertise to facilitate corporate training for businesses and organizations who are looking for an innovative way to provide training for their staff in leadership, communication, and team building. "Many companies have utilized ropes courses for experiential learning; the horses are like having ropes with an opinion! They give you immediate feedback."
Dr. Pucci knows personally how powerful experiential learning with horses can be. "Horses have added so much to my life, and I really value the connection. They teach me so much about myself and my business. Horses have such a capacity for bringing out greater honesty and self awareness with the feedback they offer in response to what we do."
"I can’t imagine anything better than the serenity of watching them graze outside my office windows, and the joy I feel when I watch them playing with each other and our clients. I really LOVE sharing this experience!"

Location |
The Inner Resource Center is located just outside of Maryville, Tennessee, about 30 miles south of Knoxville. We are located in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains which is one of the prettiest places I’ve ever lived.
I built my office on my farm—Hold Your Horses Farm--at 202 River Ford Road, Maryville, TN 37804. If you come for sessions in person, you’ll be able to enjoy the beautiful view I have of the Smoky Mountains, and watch the horses grazing in the pasture. The setting is designed to help you connect with yourself and give you the space to bring about the changes you want.
If you come for a workshop or Breakthrough Sessions, I can give you suggestions for places to stay in or near the mountains and close to my office. |
